About the National LATINA Symposium

Launched in 2004, the National LATINA Symposium  brings together the largest gathering of senior Latina leaders in the nation. The Symposium ascertains, through round-table and panel discussions, in-depth surveys, and commentaries, the status of the Latina professional working woman in the United States. Among the topics of discussion are career development and advancement, business opportunities, family issues, health and wellness, cultural sensitivity, political, and civic responsibility, and military careers. The highlight of the Symposium is the presentation of the Distinguished Military Service Awards Luncheon honoring Latinas serving in the Armed Forces and veterans. Over 252 Latinas have been recognized through the years and 4 Latinos who have significantly advanced the cause of Latina recognition.

The National LATINA Symposium is a one-day event that brings together Latinas from diverse geographical regions, providing them with a platform to collectively address the most pressing issues impacting their lives. The centerpiece of this symposium is the highly esteemed Distinguished Military Service Awards Luncheon, where we pay tribute to the outstanding Latinas currently serving in the Armed Forces. Additionally, we proudly acknowledge two other significant accolades during this event: the Corporate Veteran ERG of the Year Award and the Veteran of the Year Award.

In essence, the National LATINA Symposium is a vital gathering that not only highlights the achievements of Latinas but also serves as a beacon for empowering and supporting their journey in various facets of life, including their military careers.
