CW2 Angelic Leyna Smith, an esteemed Chief Warrant Officer Two and Geospatial Engineer, has exemplified exceptional dedication and expertise in her military career.

Having earned her AA in General Studies from Central Texas Community College and a BS in Geography from Park University, CW2 Smith possesses a strong educational foundation. Her commitment to continuous growth led her to complete the Carnegie Mellon University Army Fellowship Artificial Intelligence Technician course, further enhancing her knowledge and skills in the field. She holds certifications in CompTIA Cloud Essentials, PCEP (Certified Entry-Level Python Programmer), ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library), AZ-900 (Azure Fundamentals), and Google User Experience.

CW2 Smith's list of accomplishments is testament to her exceptional abilities and unwavering commitment to excellence. She was awarded the prestigious Bronze De Fleury Medal, four ARCOMs, one AAM, three AGCMs, one NDSM, one GWTSM, three NOPDRs, one ASR, one OSR, two COAs, one BAIB, and one DMB-DWV.

Throughout her diverse assignments, CW2 Smith has consistently demonstrated her expertise and dedication. From Fort Jackson, SC, to Fort Belvoir, VA, Fort McPherson, GA, Camp Buering, Kuwait, Fort Sam Houston, TX, Fort Shafter, HI, and Fort Leonard Wood, MO, she has consistently excelled in her roles as a topographic analyst, Geospatial AIT Instructor, and Geospatial OIC within various units. Currently, she serves as an Artificial Intelligence Technician at AFC, Army Intelligence Integration Center in Pittsburgh, PA.

Her commitment to professional development is evident through her extensive training, including AIT, ALC, SLC, Basic Instructor Course, Small Group Facilitator, Cadre Training, WOCS, WOBC, WOAC, and the Carnegie Mellon Army Fellowship AI Technician course.

Born into a military family at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, CW2 Smith carries on the proud tradition. Her father, a retired SGM who joined the Army from Puerto Rico, instilled in her a deep sense of service. Alongside her husband, she enlisted in the Army in 2006. Tragically, her husband passed away unexpectedly in May 2023, leaving behind three sons, Izaiah (22), Adrian (18), and Keith III (10). Despite this profound loss, CW2 Smith continues to serve with unwavering dedication.

CW2 Smith remains committed to her personal and professional growth. In the fall of 2023, she will pursue a Master's degree in User Experience, further enhancing her expertise in the field. Her continuous pursuit of knowledge and certifications underscores her determination to support her current role as an Artificial Intelligence Technician.
